Career & Technical Education

There's more to life than just high school (although sometimes it may not seem that way to teens!) Soon our students will face the world beyond the classroom walls. To prepare our students for their futures in society, Maricopa High School has paired with several programs to offer students a wide variety of opportunities to learn skills that don't come from just textbooks alone.

The state of Arizona also offers programs and information to help students prepare for future skills and receive the technical skills that will help them advance in the future. Please read more about the Career and Technical Programs offered in Arizona.

Maricopa High School is a part of Central Arizona Valley Institute of Technology (CAVIT). This program offers training in skill areas such as:

  • Audio/Visual Technologies
  • Cosmetology
  • Graphic Design
  • Medical Assistant
  • Fire Science
  • Law, Public Safety, and Security
  • Massage Therapy
  • Veterinary Assistant
  • Digital Photography
  • Culinary Arts
  • Welding

Maricopa is also a member of Pinal County Tech Prep Consortium. This program helps students earn college credits while in high school. The purpose is to accelerate learning and save a buck or two in the process.

Please meet our Career and Technical Education (CTE) teachers who offer their expertise and teach valuable skills to our students.
