Amy Stump


Amy Stump started in the district in the 2016-2017 school year as a chemistry teacher at MHS. As an Arizona teacher for over a decade, she has educated students Toltec Elementary School District and Casa Grande Union High School District, in addition to Maricopa. Ms. Stump is a life-long learner, who is passionate about motivating students to reach their potential. She graduated from Santa Cruz Adult Education in Santa Cruz, CA and went straight into the work world for several years. After moving to the Casa Grande area in 1999 to foster youth with behavioral challenges, she returned to school to earn her associates from Central Arizona College. She then transferred to ASU to earn a bachelors in chemistry and a masters in curriculum and instruction. Recently, Ms. Stump earned an educational specialist degree from Capella University, as well as superintendent certification in the state of Arizona. She is currently working toward a doctorate of philosophy in educational leadership.

Ms. Stump has taught at the middle school, high school, and college level. She also worked as an instructional specialist in Casa Grande. During her career she was honored to receive Arizona Rookie Science Teacher of the Year in 2008 awarded by the Arizona Science Teacher Association. In 2009, she was a Wall of Success Inductee at CAC.

Ms. Stump has been married for over 20 years, has 1 son, and a miniature Schnauzer. She enjoys antique shopping and is a huge Diamodbacks fan.

Ms. Stump is honored to serve the Maricopa community and MHS students as the Assistant Principal for facilities and activities.
