I grew up in the Pacific Northwest town of Beaverton, Oregon and graduated from a small high school called the School of Science & Technology in 1999. From there I went on to graduate from Oregon State University in 2005 and 2008 with a B.S. in Animal Sciences and M.S. in Science Education, respectively. Most recently I graduated from Northern Arizona University with a MEd in Educational Leadership.

While at Oregon State University, I competed on the Equestrian Team and served as the President of the OSU Pre-Veterinary Club, as well as serving as an officer in the Animal Welfare Club and as a Peer Advisor for the Department of Animal Sciences. I was accepted to the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005, but chose to leave after just under one year to help with Hurricane Katrina relief in Biloxi, Mississippi and then go on to become a science teacher.

I am proud to say that I achieved the rank of Eagle Scout (with three palms) in 1998 after many fun years of character developing activities with the Boy Scouts of America. I am grateful to this organization as it was the primary drive behind shaping me into the person I have become. After 13 years of working at summer camps, I have certainly grown to enjoy activities such as hiking, camping, swimming, rafting, riding horses, reading, cooking, and landscaping.

It goes without saying that it has been a true blessing to be involved with the Maricopa family. I absolutely love my job, and honor the responsibility of stewardship I have over the school. It brings me great joy to help others in any way I can!
