Miss Santee, originally from New Jersey, moved with her family to Arizona in 2016. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications/Elementary Education, a Master of Science degree in Educational Administration and Supervision, and a graduate certificate in Special Education. In 2006, she began her career as a 5th grade ELA and math teacher in Maryland. From 2007-2009, she was a kindergarten teacher. Miss Santee relocated back to NJ in 2009, and went on to become a high school transition coordinator and job coach for the next five years. In 2014, she transitioned to inner city Newark, NJ and became a special education teacher, working with behavior disabled students in grades K-2. In 2015, she was promoted to School Operations Manager at a magnet high school. Once relocating to Arizona in 2016, she worked as a history, science, and physical education teacher at Desert Heights Academy, which is a private placement for emotionally disturbed high school students. Miss Santee now serves as the Dean of Students at Maricopa High School.
